සිංහල හා හින්දු අලුත් අවුරුද්ද
සිංහල භාෂාවෙන් "අලුත් අවුරුද්ද" ලෙසත් දෙමළ බසින් "පුතාන්ඩු" ලෙසත් හඳුන්වනු ලබන සිංහල සහ දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුද්ද ශ්රී ලංකාවේ සහ ලොව පුරා සිංහල , දෙමළ ප්රජාවන් විසින් සමරනු ලබන සුවිශේෂී සංස්කෘතික හා ආගමික උත්සවයකි. මෙම විචිත්රවත් සැමරුම සාම්ප්රදායික සිංහල සහ දෙමළ දින දර්ශනවල නව වසරේ ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කරයි, සාමාන්යයෙන් සෑම වසරකම අප්රේල් 13 හෝ 14 දිනට යෙදේ.මේ වසරේ මෙම නව අවුරුදු උදාව අප්රේල් මස 13 වන දා සිදුවෙ.
පුරාණ කෘෂිකාර්මික සම්ප්රදායන් සහ ජ්යෝතිඃ ශාස්ත්රීය විශ්වාසයන් මුල්කරගත් සිංහල සහ දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුද්දේ ඉතිහාසය සියවස් ගණනාවක් ඈතට දිව යයි. අස්වැන්න නෙළීමේ කාලය අවසන් වී නව කෘෂිකාර්මික චක්රයක ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කරමින් මීන රාශියේ සිට මේෂ රාශියට සූර්යයා සංක්රමණය වන නැකතෙන් එය ආරම්භ වූ බව විශ්වාස කෙරේ.
මෙමගින් ප්රජාවන් අතර සුහදත්වය අලුත් කර ගැනීම , සෞභාග්යය සහ එකමුතුකම සංකේතවත් කරන බැවින් මෙම උත්සවය ඉතා වැදගත් වේ. පවුල් එකතු වී ආගමික වතාවත්වල නියැලෙන අතර නිවෙස් පිරිසිදු කිරීම හා අලංකාර කිරීම, විශේෂ ආහාරපාන පිළියෙළ කිරීම, තෑගිබෝග හුවමාරු කර ගැනීම වැනි සම්ප්රදායික චාරිත්ර වාරිත්රවල නිරත වන කාලයකි.
උත්සවය සාම්ප්රදායිකව ජ්යෝතිඃ ශාස්ත්රීය ගණනය කිරීම් සහ සූර්යයාගේ චලනයන් නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම මගින් තීරණය කරන ලදී. අද, එය සාමාන්යයෙන් නිරීක්ෂණය කරනු ලබන්නේ "නැකත්" නමින් හැඳින්වෙන සාම්ප්රදායික වත්පිලිවෙත් අනුව අලුත් අවුරුද්ද හා සම්බන්ධ විවිධ ක්රියාකාරකම් සහ චාරිත්ර වාරිත්ර සඳහා සුබ වේලාවන් සපයයි.
සිංහල හා දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුද්ද තෝරාගැනීම සිංහල හා දෙමළ ප්රජාවන්ගේ පොහොසත් සංස්කෘතික උරුමයන් සහ ආගමික විශ්වාසයන් මත පදනම් වේ. එය ශ්රී ලංකාවේ විවිධ ජනවාර්ගික සහ ආගමික කණ්ඩායම්වල සුහද සහජීවනය සංකේතවත් කරන අතර සංස්කෘතික සම්ප්රදායන් සුරැකීමේ සහ සැමරීමේ වැදගත්කම සිහිගන්වන්නකි.
සිංහල සහ දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුද්ද යනු විනෝදය සහ උත්සව කාලය පමණක් නොව, පරම්පරාවන් ඉක්මවා යන උරුමය, අධ්යාත්මිකත්වය සහ ප්රජා බැඳීම් සැමරීමකි. එය සංස්කෘතික අනන්යතාවයේ සහ එකමුතුකමේ විචිත්රවත් ප්රකාශනයක් ලෙස ක්රියා කරන අතර, ලොව පුරා සිටින සිංහල සහ දෙමළ ප්රජාවන් අතර අයිතිවාසිකමක් සහ අභිමානයක් පෝෂණය කරයි.

சிங்கள தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு
உலகின் பல நாடுகள் ஜனவரி 1ம் திகதி புத்தாண்டைக் கொண்டாடுகின்றன.இலங்கையில் புத்தாண்டு கொண்டாட்டங்கள் ஏப்ரல் 13 ஆம் திகதி மற்றும் 14 ஆம் திகதி கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது. சிங்களம் மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு சம்பிரதாயங்கள் மற்றும் பழக்கவழக்கங்கள் நிறைந்த மிகப்பெரிய கொண்டாட்டம் ஆகும். மீன ராசியிலிருந்து மேஷ ராசி வரை சூரியனின் இயக்கத்தின் அடிப்படையில், இலங்கையில் ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் புத்தாண்டு கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது.
சனத்தொகையில் பெரும்பான்மையாக உள்ள சிங்கள மக்கள் சிங்களப் புத்தாண்டைக் கொண்டாடும் அதே வேளையில், சிறுபான்மை இனத்தவர்களான தமிழ் மக்கள் தமிழ்ப் புத்தாண்டைக் கொண்டாடுகிறார்கள். கலாச்சாரங்கள் மற்றும் மரபுகளில் வேறுபாடுகள் இருந்தபோதிலும், இந்த மங்களகரமான நிகழ்வைக் கொண்டாட இரு சமூகங்களும் ஒன்றுசேர்கின்றன.
இவ்விழா சூரிய திருவிழா என்றும் அழைக்கப்படும். சிங்கள மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு என்பது நூற்றுக்கணக்கான ஆண்டுகளாக சூரியனின் கடவுளை கௌரவிக்கும் ஒரு சடங்கு ஆகும்.
இது இலங்கையின் முக்கிய மரபுகள் மற்றும் சடங்குகளையும் வேடிக்கையான செயல்பாடுகள் மற்றும் பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டுகளையும் உள்ளடக்கிய பண்டிகை ஆகும்.
புத்தாண்டு சடங்குகள் 13 ஆம் திகதி தொடங்குகின்றன. இந்த நேரத்தில், மக்கள் புத்தாண்டுக்கு தயாராகுவதுடன் தங்கள் மதத்தின் ஆசீர்வாதத்தைப் பெறுவதற்காக மத நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஈடுபடுவர். சிங்கள மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டின் மிக முக்கியமான சடங்குகளில் ஒன்று பால் காய்ச்சுவதாகும். பானையில் பாலை பொங்க வைப்பதே இச்சடங்காகும். வரும் ஆண்டில் மிகுதியையும் செழிப்பையும் இச்சடங்கு குறிக்கிறது.
புத்தாண்டு என்பது மத அனுசரிப்புகளுக்கான ஒரு நேரமாகும், சிங்களவர்களும் தமிழர்களும் கோவில்களுக்குச் சென்று மத சடங்குகளில் பங்கேற்கின்றனர். வசதியற்றவர்களுக்கு உணவு, உடை வழங்குவது போன்ற தொண்டுச் செயல்களிலும் பலர் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர்.
சிங்கள மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டின் மற்றொரு முக்கிய அம்சம் பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டுகள் மற்றும் செயல்பாடுகள் ஆகும். தலையணை சண்டைகள், கயிறு இழுத்தல் மற்றும் பானையை உடைத்தல் ஆகியவை இதில் அடங்கும்.
ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக, சிங்கள மற்றும் தமிழ் புத்தாண்டு மகிழ்ச்சி, ஒற்றுமை மற்றும் இலங்கை கலாச்சாரம் மற்றும் பாரம்பரியங்களின் கூட்டு கொண்டாட்டமாக காணப்படுகின்றது. குடும்பங்களும் நண்பர்களும் ஒன்றிணைந்து, கடந்த ஆண்டைப் பற்றி சிந்திக்கவும், வரும் ஆண்டை நம்பிக்கையுடன் எதிர்நோக்கவும் பிராத்தனை செய்வர்.

Sinhala and Tamil New Year
As April rolls around, Sri Lanka prepares to celebrate the Sinhala, Hindu and Tamil New Year, a festival that showcases the island's cultural richness and unity. This auspicious occasion falls on 13th and 14th April and is a joyous occasion for the whole family to renew their traditional customs and come together.
Especially for the Sinhalese community, the Sinhala New Year or "New Year" is a very important festival. It marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of a new astrological year. New Year's Eve is determined by astrological calculations and the transition from the old year to the new year is marked by the lighting of the hearth known as "Nakath Devili Alunaya". This ritual is believed to bring prosperity and luck to the home.
The Tamil community celebrates the New Year called "Puthandu" with equal enthusiasm. The festival is marked by the preparation of delicacies, the drawing of intricate kolam motifs on the doorsteps and visits to temples to seek blessings for the coming year. Tamil New Year is also an occasion for renewing, reflecting and strengthening family ties.
For the Hindu community, the New Year is celebrated as "Puttaandu". It is a time of religious significance, with special prayers and rituals performed in temples. The festival is celebrated with feast and joy as family and friends come together to share food and exchange gifts.
One of the hallmarks of the Sinhala, Hindu and Tamil New Year is the spirit of sharing and generosity. A time when communities come together to help those in need, where charity and donations are common practices. The festival embodies reconciliation and forgiveness as people try to start the New Year clean.
Accordingly, as Sri Lanka continues to progress and evolve, the Sinhala, Hindu and Tamil New Years remain a constant reminder of the island's rich cultural heritage and spirit of unity in diversity. So may this New Year be a very Happy New Year full of hope, prosperity and peace to all!
