International Youth Day

International Youth Day

International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12 in every year. This year's theme is *Green Skills for Youth Towards a sustainable World.*". In 1998, the World Youth Ministerial Conference held in Lisbon, Portugal recommended that August 12 be named World Youth Day. In 1999, August 12 was named World Youth Day and adopted as National Youth Day. Since the year 2000, all the member countries of the United Nations have been celebrating the International Youth Day by organizing various programs with the participation of the youth community.

Unfortunately, many young people around the world today are struggling and have limited access to essential resources that could pave the way for a better future. Accordingly, a day has been set aside for the youth with the aim of bringing youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrating the potential of the youth as members of today's global society.

Also, on the occasion of International Youth Day, many government officials, local as well as national, non-governmental organizations, youth administration etc. are organizing events to celebrate this day. Workshops, meetings, concerts, cultural events etc. are happening all over the world focusing on youth empowerment. So fulfill your responsibility as a youth on International Youth Day for the youth who will win the world tomorrowSewwand
